About Rembang Lighthouse
This square skeletal tower, constructed of steel and painted white, stands 30 meters tall. It was erected in 2007 to mark the waterfront of Rembang harbor in Central Java, Indonesia. The lighthouse provided navigational guidance for vessels entering the port. Its operational status ended sometime between 2019 and 2022, when it was removed from its location. The structure was a white, square, steel tower.
Why it matters: The lighthouse was essential for directing ships into the original Rembang harbor, supporting local commerce.
