It is a 12-meter-high square concrete structure distinguished by black and white horizontal bands. The light source is positioned at a focal height of 37 meters, producing a white flash every 15 seconds (Fl W 15s) and covering a range of 16.6 nautical miles. Public access is permitted to the site, but not inside the tower. Ilo, located 34.6 km distant, is the closest port.
