Punta Laxe (Punta de Lago) Range Rear Lighthouse

This white, cylindrical concrete tower stands 8 meters tall. It is located near Muxía in the Galicia region of Spain, close to the port of Camarinas. As the rear light of a range system, this structure worked with a front light to provide a visual alignment for mariners. When the two lights appeared vertically stacked, vessels were on the correct course for navigation. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
