About Punta Espada Lighthouse
This steel skeletal tower stands 56 meters tall and features distinctive red and white horizontal bands. Its pyramidal shape is supported by a metal framework, reaching a focal height of 50 meters above sea level. The light emits a single white flash every 20 seconds. This structure marks the easternmost point of the Guajira Peninsula. The current light characteristic was established in 2011, replacing a previous configuration.
