The lighthouse emits a white flash every 10 seconds, visible for nearly 32 nautical miles. It is located 79.1 kilometers from Telok Ayer, the nearest port. The structure serves as a key navigational aid.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marks the southwest end of the Karimata Archipelago, a complex area for navigation. Efforts are underway to designate the light station as a heritage area.
