Established in 1903, its green tower is 15 meters above sea level and emits a green flash every 5 seconds. The lighthouse was built to mark the entrance to the original harbor of Probolinggo, situated on the southwest side of the Madura Strait. Its structure is described as a round, hourglass-shaped tower painted green. The geographic range of its light is 11.9 nautical miles.
