The Pointe de Manicouagan lighthouse is a square pyramidal skeletal tower constructed from steel, reaching a height of 30.5 meters. Its exterior is painted white and red. From a focal height of 36 meters, it produces a white flash at intervals of six seconds. This present structure succeeded a prior triangular skeletal tower. Located on a cape near Rue Granier, about 16 kilometers south of Baie-Comeau, it serves as a point of reference for ships. The station began operation in 1975. Visitors can access the grounds, but the tower interior remains closed.
