This concrete lighthouse stands 12 meters tall on a square platform supported by concrete piles. The square pyramidal skeletal tower is painted white. Its light emits a white flash every five seconds. The lighthouse is situated just off the beach on the east side of the isthmus in Pangandaran. It has been an active aid to navigation for many years, guiding vessels in these coastal waters. The site is open to visitors, but the tower itself is closed to the public.
Why it matters: This lighthouse assists mariners navigating the coastal waters near Pangandaran and warns ships approaching the Penanjung Pangandaran Peninsula.
