A 25-meter tall cylindrical concrete tower, the lighthouse features black and white vertical stripes. It is topped with a lantern and gallery. From a focal height of 59 meters, it flashes white light every 8 seconds (Fl W 8s), visible for 20 nautical miles. This structure, located on a remote cape of the northeastern Kamchatka Peninsula, is situated about 94 kilometers from Ust Kamchatsk port. It was built to indicate this significant headland.
Why it matters: The lighthouse serves as a navigation aid for vessels operating off the northeastern Kamchatka Peninsula, marking the cape. Its light helps ships passing through an area with few available ports.
