Ostrov Nikol’skogo Lighthouse

Ostrov Nikol’skogo Lighthouse is an octagonal tower standing 6 meters tall and painted white. This structure marks the western approach to an island that shelters a harbor within Pavlovskogo Bay. The lighthouse was built to guide vessels safely into the protected waterway and away from hazards near the island's western tip. Although its construction date is not recorded, its purpose was to provide a guiding light for maritime navigation in this specific area. The lighthouse has since been deactivated and is visible from the nearby beach.

Why it matters: This lighthouse provided a critical visual aid for ships navigating into the harbor on the east side of Pavlovskogo Bay, warning against the dangers of the island's western tip and ensuring safe passage for vessels heading towards the port of Fokino.
