About Ninobae Hana Lighthouse
Also known as: #Ninobae Hana (Iyo Fukaura Kō)
This concrete tower stands on the south side of the entrance to Fukaura harbor, marking the tip of a promontory. The structure consists of a 7.5-meter round tower with a flared top, attached to a single-story equipment shelter. Its light is positioned 9.5 meters above sea level and emits two white flashes every six seconds. Around 2015, the original tower was replaced by a post. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
Why it matters: This light guides vessels into Fukaura harbor, marking the promontory at the entrance and ensuring safe passage for maritime traffic approaching the port.
