About Nezumi Se Lighthouse
The Nezumi Se lighthouse is situated on a rock located 1.2 kilometers west of the Saikai shoreline in Nagasaki Prefecture. The structure is a cylindrical concrete tower measuring 11 meters in height. Its exterior is divided into two colors: yellow for the upper half and black for the lower half. A prominent round equipment enclosure is mounted on top of the tower. The light emits a white flash at 15-second intervals and has a geographic range of 11.9 nautical miles. Access to the site is permitted, but the tower itself is not open for entry.
Why it matters: Nezumi Se marks the western approach to Saikai, assisting vessels navigating the channel between Seto and Matsushima.
