It is situated on the north breakwater of Narao harbor, a ferry port located near the southern end of Nakadōri Shima in Nagasaki Prefecture. The lighthouse provides a geographic range of 12.2 nautical miles. While the grounds are open to visitors, the tower itself remains closed.
