Nabil' Lighthouse was established in 1982. The structure is a 10-meter tall cylindrical concrete tower, painted with horizontal black and white bands. It is located on the eastern coast of Sakhalin Island, approximately 67.1 kilometers from the nearest port of Aleksandrovsk. This lighthouse was built to enhance maritime safety in the Sea of Okhotsk. It continues to operate as an active navigational aid, supporting vessels in this region.
Why it matters: The lighthouse warns ships of coastal hazards along the eastern Sakhalin coast, a route used by vessels traveling to and from Aleksandrovsk.
