About Miah Maull Shoal Lighthouse
A screw-pile lighthouse was originally built on Miah Maull Shoal in 1848 and later replaced by the current structure. The existing lighthouse, constructed in 1913, stands 14 meters tall with its light positioned 18 meters above sea level. It emits alternating white and red lights. This structure marks the north side of the shipping channel within Delaware Bay, located off the coast of Cumberland County, New Jersey.
