Constructed in 1966, the Merry Island Lighthouse has a tower measuring 12 meters in height, with the light positioned 18 meters above sea level. The structure features a red, square cylindrical tower with a lantern room and gallery, connected to a one-story fog signal building. Its light produces a white flash every 15 seconds, detectable over a distance of 12.7 nautical miles. The light station was first set up in 1902, with the present tower erected in 1966. It is located on the southeastern part of Merry Island, about 6.4 kilometers from Sechelt.
