About Menashidomari Kō Lighthouse
Menashidomari Kō is a red, cylindrical concrete tower standing 11 meters tall at the end of the west breakwater of Menashidomari port. The light, visible for 11.6 nautical miles, emits a red flash every 4 seconds. This structure, with a lantern and gallery, rises to a focal height of 14 meters. The port itself is sheltered on its west side by Cape Kamui. The lighthouse site is open to visitors, though the tower is closed to the public.
