About McInnes Island Lighthouse
McInnes Island Lighthouse, built in 1954, is a 9-meter cylindrical concrete tower topped with a red lantern. It stands 30 meters above sea level and emits a white flash every five seconds. The lighthouse is attached to a keeper's house, forming a square cylindrical concrete structure. The station was first established in 1921. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed.
