This lighthouse is situated on the southeastern point of Angel Island, approximately 4 miles northeast of the Golden Gate Bridge within San Francisco Bay. The current post structure, standing 3.5 meters tall, is adjacent to a 1-story former fog signal building. An earlier light was first established here in 1915. It displays a green flash every 5 seconds, with a focal height of 18 meters, and has a geographic range of 12.7 nautical miles. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself is closed.
