About Manigonigo Island Lighthouse
The Manigonigo Island lighthouse, established in 1894, features a white octagonal framework tower constructed from aluminum. Standing 21 meters tall with the same focal height, it emits a white flash. The tower is adorned with a red and white diamond-shaped daymark. An original keeper's house, though now unroofed and in ruins, was part of the station. This light has a geographic range of 16 nautical miles. It was first lit in 1894, though the current structure was built in 1994.
