About Malö Lighthouse
The current Malö Lighthouse, a white cylindrical concrete tower, was built in 1968. It stands 9 meters tall with its focal height at 10 meters. The lighthouse emits three flashes, alternating white, red, and green, every 9 seconds. The station was first established in 1891 with an initial structure that was later deactivated and demolished in 1911. A temporary lantern was installed in 1935 before the present tower replaced it. The light has a geographic range of 10.4 nautical miles.
