Constructed of concrete in 1960, the octagonal tower stands 10.5 meters high with its focal plane at 21.5 meters. It displays a single red flash every 6 seconds, visible for 13.5 nautical miles. The lighthouse is situated on the northeastern tip of the Lucy Islands, approximately 15 kilometers west of Prince Rupert. This location marks the beginning of the Metlaketla Channel, a key waterway leading to Prince Rupert Harbour. The keeper's house associated with the station was removed in 1988. The tower itself is painted white, with the lantern and gallery finished in red.
