About Lauskjær Lighthouse
Also known as: Lauskjær (Range Front)
This 6.5-meter lantern structure, situated on a platform supported by four black piles, guides vessels into and out of the Singlefjord. The lantern itself is painted white with a red roof. Lauskjær's light emits occulting white, red, or green flashes on a 6-second cycle, with sectors providing specific directional guidance. It is positioned on a skerry about 600 meters west-northwest of the Singløy light. The site is open to visitors, though the tower remains closed to the public.
Why it matters: Lauskjær serves as an eastbound range light and provides critical directional guidance for vessels navigating the entrance and exit of the Singlefjord, ensuring safe passage through its complex waterways.
