This cylindrical concrete tower, measuring 10 meters in height, was constructed and first illuminated in 2017. The structure, which includes a lantern and gallery, is painted black with one horizontal white stripe. It is located approximately 4 kilometers south of Eten and about 50 kilometers north of Pacasmayo. The light produces a white flash every 10 seconds, visible for a distance of 35 nautical miles. The light source is positioned 219 meters above sea level.
Why it matters: This structure marks an important headland, serving as a navigation aid for shipping lanes connecting Pacasmayo and Eten, thereby facilitating safe transit for vessels.
