About Lafjord Lighthouse
Lafjord Lighthouse, first lit in 1909, is a concrete mast structure standing 4 meters tall. It is painted white with a red roof, supporting a lantern and snow screen. The focal height is 7.5 meters, and its geographic range is 9.5 nautical miles. The light displays three white, red, or green occultations every 15 seconds. Situated on the south side of the Magerøysund, it marks the eastern entrance to Lafjord, approximately 2.5 kilometers west of the Magerøy tunnel. The lighthouse is accessible only by boat.
