Built in 1859, this cylindrical stone lighthouse stands 8 meters tall and is painted white with red trim. Its light is positioned 33 meters above sea level and has a geographic range of 15.9 nautical miles. The original structure was relocated and rebuilt between 1871 and 1872. It now stands on Merri Street, north of its companion front light. The lighthouse emits a blue isophase light every 6 seconds. The site is open to the public, but the tower itself is closed.
