About L'Adour Jetée Sud Lighthouse
A square concrete tower, 8 meters tall, guides mariners at the southern end of the jetty for the Rivière de l'Adour entrance. It was built and first lit in 1964. The structure is painted white with a green band near the top and emits a green occulting light every 4 seconds, visible for 10 nautical miles. The tower features a gallery but no lantern. While the site and the jetty leading to the tower are open to the public, the tower itself is closed. This lighthouse is located 0.1 km from the port of Bayonne.
