This red concrete post, standing 8.5 meters tall, was situated on the west breakwater of Komenotsu harbor, located at the southern end of Yatsushiro Bay. The structure included a square equipment shelter and emitted a red light. It served as a navigational aid for vessels entering Komenotsu harbor. The light was removed in 2010 due to the construction of new breakwaters.
