Location & Light Range
About Kisarazu City Lighthouse Lighthouse
A white concrete post, 9.5 meters high, supports the lantern for this lighthouse. The post is attached to a square, single-story concrete equipment shelter. This structure stands 12 meters above sea level. It is located on the west end of a long detached breakwater that protects Kisarazu harbor on the east side of Tokyo Bay. The light emits a single white flash every three seconds. The lighthouse is operational and serves as a navigational aid.
Why it matters: This lighthouse warns mariners of the western extent of the breakwater, guiding vessels safely into Kisarazu harbor.
