About Kinchakushima Lighthouse
Kinchakushima lighthouse is a 23-meter tall, square metal tower situated on the east coast of Kyushu. The deactivated structure features a metal pipe swing pole. Two green square daymarks are affixed to the tower, oriented toward 180° and 220°. The focal height of the light is 50 meters, with a geographic range of 7 nautical miles. Its light characteristic was three white flashes every 13 seconds, showing white and red.
