The Kami Shima North Coast Lighthouse, constructed in 1963, is a cylindrical stone and concrete tower standing 11 meters tall. It is situated on a shoal at the eastern entrance to the passage between Shimo Shima and Kami Shima, within Hondo harbor. The lighthouse emits a green flashing light every 8 seconds from a focal height of 10 meters, visible for 10.4 nautical miles. Its structure features a round concrete tower with a double gallery, mounted on a round stone pier. The site is accessible to the public, but the tower itself is closed.
