About Kō Lighthouse
The Kō Lighthouse features a square concrete equipment room with a 13-meter focal height. The structure itself is entirely red, consisting of a 10-meter concrete post attached to a single-story concrete building. It emits a light sequence of three white flashes every 9 seconds. Situated on a detached breakwater, it marks the eastern side of the entrance to Takasago harbor in Western Hokkaido. Access to this lighthouse is exclusively by boat.
