This concrete tower, standing 10 meters high, featured a cylindrical shape atop a square base. It was painted with alternating black and white horizontal bands. The lighthouse emitted two red flashes every 6 seconds. It was located at the end of the outer breakwater for the Jorf Lasfar port. The structure was deactivated and removed in 2021, with a new light announced for the location in 2022.
Why it matters: The lighthouse marked the end of the outer breakwater, guiding commercial vessels into the Jorf Lasfar port, an important industrial and export hub.
