About Islas Palamino Lighthouse

A concrete cylindrical tower, 12 meters high, was built in 1928 on a small island 5 km south of Isla San Lorenzo, off Callao, Peru. The tower, originally painted black with a red band, has a focal height of 53 meters and a geographic range of 9 nautical miles. Its light produced two white flashes. A navigational station was first established on this island in 1897. The lighthouse has been inactive since 2016.
