This concrete and fiberglass cylindrical tower was built in 1973 on a small island 65 km west of Callao, Peru. Standing 15 meters tall with a focal height of 32 meters, its upper half is black and the lower half is white, atop an unpainted concrete base. The lighthouse emits a white flash every 10 seconds. Substantially altered in 1994, it has a geographic range of 15.7 nautical miles. The island, named 'Outer Ants' for rocks visible on the horizon, is only reachable by boat.
