About Isla Blanca Lighthouse
A cylindrical concrete tower built in 1971, the Isla Blanca lighthouse stands 7 meters tall. It is painted with red and white horizontal bands and lacks a lantern. The lighthouse was situated atop an islet off the northern end of Isla Blanca, which provides shelter for the harbor of Chimbote. Its operational status ended around 2007, and it was removed from navigation lists in 2009. The nearest port is Chimbote, located 1.8 kilometers away.
