The structure is a round, cylindrical concrete tower, 10 meters above sea level, painted black with one yellow horizontal stripe, and is set on a concrete pier. It displays a white flashing light every 10 seconds, which can be seen for 10.4 nautical miles. Located on a reef 3.4 kilometers from Ushimado, it is situated about 6 kilometers southeast of the Okayama harbor entrance, on the east side of Inu Shima island. Access to the grounds is permitted, though the tower is not open for entry.
