Iburi Kō lighthouse is a white, cylindrical concrete tower standing 10 meters tall. Its operational light is situated at the north end of the detached breakwater of Iburi fishing port, about 15 kilometers north of Cape Ashizuri. The structure features a round concrete tower with a flared top, connected to an equipment shelter. It emits a green light, flashing once every 6 seconds. The focal height of the light is 15 meters, providing a geographic range of 11.9 nautical miles.
Why it matters: This light marks the northern extremity of the breakwater, warning vessels of this submerged hazard and aiding safe passage into Iburi fishing port.
