This cylindrical concrete tower stands 19 meters tall on a detached breakwater marking the easternmost harbor of the Ōita metropolitan area. Its lantern, topped with a traditional tall dunce cap roof, houses the light. The lighthouse has a focal height of 18 meters and emits an isophase green light on a 6-second cycle, visible for 12.7 nautical miles. The structure is painted white. Access to the site and tower is restricted, with the lighthouse only reachable by boat.
Why it matters: This light clearly marks the detached breakwater at the edge of the easternmost harbor of the Ōita metropolitan area, guiding vessels entering and exiting the port.
