About Hira Shima Lighthouse
This cylindrical concrete lighthouse stands 19 meters tall on Hira Shima, an island off the northeastern coast of Nakadōri Shima. Its focal plane is 53 meters above sea level. The light emits a single white flash every 4 seconds. The entire structure, including the lantern and gallery, is painted white. It is situated at the western tip of the island, marking the strait between Hira Shima and Nakadōri Shima. Access to the site is available only by boat.
