About Hagi Kō Uraoki Breakwater Lighthouse
This red, cylindrical concrete lighthouse stood 8.5 meters tall on the Uraoki Breakwater at Hagi Port. Its structure consisted of a round concrete post rising from a one-story concrete equipment room. The lighthouse served as a navigational aid for vessels approaching Hagi Port. Its operational life ended in 2019 when the structure was removed. The site of the former lighthouse is now unmarked.
