Hadono Misaki Lighthouse, built in 1949, stands on Cape Hado, the northernmost point of the Saga mainland. The 13-meter tall cylindrical concrete tower, with its light at a focal height of 21 meters, emits a white flash every five seconds. The lighthouse structure includes a concrete post and is attached to a 1-story concrete equipment building. It was reconstructed in 1990, at which time the focal height of the light was increased. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself remains closed.
