This white, cylindrical fiberglass tower stands 8 meters tall and was first lit in 1986. It is topped with a red band and has a focal height of 11 meters. The light emits a single white flash every 4 seconds. The lighthouse is situated on a small island off Gunning Point, marking the southern entrance to Mahone Bay. It replaced an earlier square pepperpot wood tower that was established in 1913.
