About Fuefuki Kō Lighthouse
Standing 9 meters tall, the Fuefuki Kō lighthouse is a white, cylindrical concrete structure located on the southernmost breakwater of Ojika harbor. This breakwater originates from Kuroshima, a small island that provides shelter to the port. The lighthouse features a 1-story concrete equipment room at its base, topped by the post. Its light emits an occulting green signal, with the light being obscured for a brief period every 6 seconds. The focal height of the light is 14 meters above sea level. Visitors can access the site but cannot enter the tower.
Why it matters: This lighthouse marks the end of the breakwater, guiding vessels into Ojika harbor and supporting the local fishing industry.
