About Frisøy Lighthouse
Built in 1894, the Frisøy Lighthouse served the Tremøysund passage northeast of Arendal. It featured a 6-meter wood-shingled tower with a hexagonal lantern and gallery, painted white with a red lantern roof. The lighthouse was situated on the mainland side of the Tremøysund, 0.3 km from the port of Eydehavn. Its operational service concluded in 2023 with its removal. The structure was constructed of wood.
