About Findocthy Lighthouse
The Findochty Lighthouse, built in 1904, is a cylindrical concrete tower standing 7 meters tall. It is topped with a 3-meter round cast iron lantern room. The lighthouse is situated on the west breakwater of Findochty harbor, located between Buckie and Cullen on the Scottish coast. Its original light has been replaced by modern range beacons. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself remains closed.
Why it matters: This lighthouse marked the entrance to Findochty's harbor, aiding local vessels.
