About Devyatyy {Kamo Shima} Lighthouse

A white, cylindrical concrete tower stands 65 meters tall on an island at the entrance to Bukhta Tserkovnaya. This structure, operational since 1967, emits a white flash every 4 seconds. Its focal plane is also 65 meters above sea level. The tower is accessible only by boat and is located on the south coast of Shikotan in the Kuril Islands.
