Běiyán Lighthouse is a hexagonal stone tower, painted yellow, standing 13 meters tall. Its focal plane is 12 meters above sea level, casting a white light visible for 11 nautical miles. The light produces a single white flash every 10 seconds. This structure is located on a shoal approximately 2.7 kilometers from the nearest port, Huizhou.
Why it matters: This lighthouse warns vessels away from a dangerous shoal, directly protecting them from running aground and ensuring safe passage into and out of Huizhou harbor.
