The octagonal fiberglass tower at Askvåg stands 7 meters tall with a focal height of 11 meters. Completed in 2020, it first became operational in 1913, replacing an earlier square skeletal tower that was covered with wood siding. Its exterior is white with two black horizontal bands and a red roof. The light emits two white occulting flashes every 8 seconds, with additional red and green sectors indicating directional changes. This lighthouse is situated on the ocean shore about 13 kilometers northeast of Bud, within the Møre og Romsdal region.
