Arnlangøya Lighthouse
Location & Light Range
About Arnlangøya Lighthouse
This concrete lighthouse, standing 5.5 meters tall, is located at the southwest end of a small island southwest of Torgnes, Norway. Its white cylindrical tower is topped with a red lantern roof. The light emits three white, red, or green flashes every 12 seconds, visible for 10 nautical miles. The site is open to the public, though the tower itself remains closed. Reaching Arnlangøya is only possible by boat.
Why it matters: The lighthouse is important for guiding vessels around the island it sits on and the nearby Torgnes area. Its directional and color-changing light provides precise warnings about the island's southwest end, helping to prevent groundings.
